Tempted Hair Studio and 2 B Tan are the newest hair and tanning salons in Picayune. Located at 1703 Hwy 11 N. the concept salons are connected and the brainchild of Shannon Schaubhut.

Schaubhut chose Picayune as the city in which to expand her business from Slidell, La. because of her love for the town and desire to move here.

“I discovered Picayune a couple of years ago when I was looking into building a home. I never lost my intrigue with the city and even though things did not work out then, they are more in line now. So, the obvious choice was Picayune when it came time to expand my salons. Since we have been open and meeting the community, I am more in love with this town than ever,” she says.

Tempted Hair Studio features highly trained stylists who offer cutting- edge techniques and products against a backdrop of tranquil elegance.

“We also offer Socap Extensions, GK Hair treatments which are the safe version of the Brazilian Blowout and lasts four months, threading, as well as full service hair care for both women and men,” Schaubhut says.

In the 2 B Tan salon, which is adjacent to Tempted Hair Studio, she offers a Hydration Pod to fully hydrate skin and a Velocity bed, which is a high pressure tanning bed that customers can lay on, stay cool in and not have the closeness and heat of the bulbs directly above and beneath them. She also offers an 8 minute stand up bed which is roomy and has a seat. These are in addition to top-of-the line regular beds.

The tanning salon also offers customized spray tans.

“Over the years, we have built a large clientele of spray tan customers. We have done work for bridal parties, pageant contestants for both Miss Louisiana and Miss Mississippi and Saintsations.

“My salon is a whole experience for all of the senses. We want our customers to feel like family and leave feeling nurtured and better than when they came in. I have been through times in my life, just like everyone else, where I have needed to be treated special. We make sure that when you come through our doors, you know that you are both seen and appreciated. We want this to be a no drama zone and place of happiness.”
