FIRST BABY

FIRST BABY — Highland Community Hospital opened on Saturday at 6 a.m. Twelve hours and 29 minutes later little Jaxon Burns, son of Tim and Shirley Burns of Carriere, arrived at Highland, the first baby to be born at the new hospital. He weighed eight pounds, 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. It was Saturday, July 28, 6:29 p.m., for the record. Below, the Burnses and those who helped are from left RN Debbie Duncan, Director of Women’s Services Bonnie Holland; Tim, Shirley and Jaxon; attending physician Dr. Cynthia Jean-Pierre and OB tech Sharon Corona.
