Gloria Crassons named President of Newcomer’s Club

The Newcomer’s and Friendship Club for 2012-2013 is proud to announce Gloria Ann Wilber Crassons will preside over the next season of the club.

Crassons is a retired teacher and administrator from New Orleans with 31 years in her profession. She has a BA in psychology from Newcomb College and a M.Ed. from Tulane University with emphasis in elementary education. She also has pre-school licensure.

She has been married to Norman, her husband of 42 years, a retired Medical Social Worker. The couple live in Hide-A-Way Lake with their Jack Russell named Gidget and Ollie, their cat. They have two married daughters and three grandsons.

Crassons belongs to a book club in New Orleans and will chair the Brown Bag Book Review this coming year for Crosby Memorial Library. She is on the board of Friends of the Library and on the Heritage Cookbook Committee. She is also a member of the Pearl River Pearls Red Hat Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She looks forward to her duties as President of the Newcomer’s Club.
