Funeral Services for Dona Clair Jackson Watkins, 72, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Picayune, will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Picayune, 401 Goodyear Blvd in Picayune.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Picayune.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, 6000 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS 39209 at 4 p.m. under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Dr. Keith Warden will officiate at the service.

A native of Jackson, she was an Administrative Assistant with the Welfare Department in Jackson, and a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune. Dona was a member of the First Baptist Church Lurlean Delaughter WMU. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Lamplighter’s Sunday School Class. Dona was also an active member and treasurer of the Pearl River County Republican Women of Greater Picayune. She was cherished and will be truly missed by her husband, family, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Jackson and Johnnie Cunningham Jackson.

Survivors include: her husband of 45 years, Cecil Lealon Watkins; her sister, Peggy H. Anderson; her nieces, Amy Allen, Julie Hill, Martha Jones, and Roslyn Windham; and her brother-in-law, Brooks Watkins.
