BREAKING GROUND — Work crews last week broke ground at Pearl River Central for one of three 10,000-sq.-ft. storm shelters being constructed in the county in case another Katrina arrives.
One of the others will be built at Picayune and another at the fairgrounds in Poplarville. All three shelters are expected to cost FEMA $9 million.
