Local Easter services set

Several local churches have planned Easter season services.

They include, but are not limited to, the following:

— West Union Baptist, Sunrise Services, April 8, 7 a.m., Sunday School, 9:30 a.m., Morning Worship 10:30 a.m. For more information call 601-798-3727.

— Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church, Sunrise Services, April 8, 7 a.m. Breakfast afterward. Sunday School, 9 a.m., Easter Program at 10 a.m., Church Services at 11 a.m. All are invited. Call 601-798-5457 for more information.

— Pine Grove Baptist, Easter Sunday, April 8, Early Service, 8:30 a.m., Sunday School, 9:15 a.m., Morning Service, 10:30 a.m.

— Henleyfield Community Inc., Hwy 43N at the intersection of Henleyfleld-McNeill Rd., Sunrise Services, April 8, 7 a.m. at the Community Center’s pavilion. Music by area churches with the Rev. Larry Pickering delivering the message.

— Saint Barnabas Anglican Church, Holy Week Mass schedule: Good Friday, noon; Easter Day, 6 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

— Trinity United Methodist Church, 3021 Woods Road, Holy Week services, Good Friday Service,  April 6,  5:30 p.m.; Men’s prayer breakfast, 8 a.m., Sat., April 7 at Ryan’s, Easter Sunday:  Sunrise Service, 6 a.m. in the Prayer Garden followed by breakfast, Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., and Easter Service, 10:30 a.m. All are invited.

— St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church of Bogalusa, corner of Georgia Ave. and Hoppen Place, Holy Week services, April 6, Good Friday Service, noon, followed by Vigil and The Way of the Cross at 2:30 p.m.; April 8, Easter Sunday: Festival Eucharist at 10 a.m. followed by an Easter Egg hunt for children on the church grounds.

Revival at New Testament BC

New Testament Baptist Church, 917 Cayten St. in Picayune, will hold revival services April 22-27. Service times are Sunday, April 22 at 10:30 a.m., followed by Dinner on the Grounds, and Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. Evangelist Bro. Wayne Anderson will lead the service.The Harper Family, Bluegrass Gospel group, will be the featured musical guests. All are invited.
