Mass of Christian Burial for Gerald James Courville, 68, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Covington, La. will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 2 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, and also Wednesday, April 4, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Father Michael Snyder will officiate at the service.

A native of Eunice, La., he was retired from AmClyde and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Gerald was a high school football official for about 10 years in the southern MS area. He was an avid sports fan. Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas Courville and Eula Brown Courville; his sisters, Wilma Dupre and Betty LeJeune; and his brother, Thomas “J.T.” Courville Jr.

Survivors include: his wife of 46 years, Hazel Pitts Courville; his children, Jeffrey Allen Courville and Karen Gascho and husband Stretch: his grandchildren: Chelsea Gascho, Trevor Gascho, Trenton Gascho, and Alicia Lee; and his brother, Lawrence Joseph Courville.
