Three arrested in heroin bust

Three suspects face drug charges after a three-month investigation produced enough evidence for the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department to obtain a search warrant.

The investigation and the search of the residence of Jason M. House produced enough evidence to bring drug charges against House and Jacob and Jennifer Kipker, said Chief Investigator Donnie Saucier.

Saucier said the investigation began in October, with deputies investigating the possibility of drugs being sold from a home at 137 Bass Rd., the residence of 27-year-old House.

The investigation included surveillance of the home and the recruitment of confidential informants to purchase drugs from the home, the chief investigator said. Saucier said during the surveillance operations, narcotics agents recognized several known drug users frequenting the home.

The surveillance and the informants produced enough evidence for investigators to obtain a search warrant, which was served on Monday, Saucier said. He said the search of the home uncovered seven small bags of heroin packaged for resale, suboxone pills and suboxone strips. Saucier said the suboxone pills and strips are prescribed to people who are trying to beat a drug addiction.

House was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of suboxone with intent to distribute and four counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance. The last charge is due to the purchases made by confidential informants, Saucier said.

Since House was on parole for a prior drug conviction, the Mississippi Department of Corrections has placed a hold on House, who is being held at the Pearl River County Correctional facility, Saucier said.

The two other suspects were arrested as a result of the investigation. Saucier said 26-year-old Jacob D. Kipker was charged with misdemeanor possession of suboxone and 24-year-old Jennifer Kipker was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of suboxone with intent to distribute. Both Jacob and Jennifer Kipker live at 137 Bass Rd., Saucier said.
