Funeral Services for Lucy Pearl Spence, 92. of Caesar Community, Miss., who passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 in Hattiesburg, Miss., will be held Sunday, February 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, and also on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 1 p.m. until service time at Union Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Pearson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. G.A. McCoy will officiate at the service, assisted by The Rev. Cedric Lumpkin and The Rev. Otho Seals.

A native of Caesar Community, Lucy was a seamstress at Movie Star until she retired. She was an active member of Union Baptist Church for 81 years and taught Sunday School for many years. Lucy was a very loving mother, mother in law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Frank S. Glidewell and Adriene Smith Glidewell; her husband of 67 years, Thomas Ames Spence; four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include: her children: Brenton Spence and wife Janie, Douglas Spence Sr and wife Jane Anna, Durwin Spence and wife Vernell, and Desiree Spence, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jessie Glidewell and wife Christine; and her sisters, Elsa Lee and Ann Smith.
