Services for Secundra Marie Ducre, 52, of Picayune, will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rose of Sharon Church Of God In Christ. The Reverend Joey L. Mark will officiate. Elder David Simmons is Pastor.

Secundra was born September 23, 1959 in Picayune, to the late Lois Jean Jenkins and the late Arthur Trotter, Jr.

Secundra confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend E. L. Fox. She later joined New Beginning Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Joey L. Mark where she remained faithful until her departure. She attended George Washington Carver and Picayune Memorial High School, of Picayune.

Secundra united in Holy Matrimony to Edgar Ducre on February 12, 1993.

She was a Beautician, Caterer, and Wedding Planner.

Secundra departed her earthly existence for her eternal home on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune when God whispered “Rest My Child”.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lois Jean Jenkins and Arthur Trotter, Jr.; one brother, Carl Jenkins; maternal grandparents, Mary and Van Huderson; one grandson, Christopher Jenkins; one aunt, Katy Mae Richardson; two uncles, Van Huderson, Jr., and Charles Trotter; and her god-mother, Martha Ree Williams.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her husband, Edgar Ducre, of Picayune; three daughters: Dietrich (Demond, Sr.) McGill, Precious (Steven) Drummond, and Niesha Jenkins, all of Picayune; one adopted son, La’Romeo Jones, of Picayune; five sisters: Janet (Tracy) McAlister, Patricia (Billy) Brown, Corceita (Mudd) Jenkins, and Wylene Trotter, all of Picayune, and Brenda Trotter, of Columbia, Miss.; three brothers: Larry Trotter, Felix “Tim” Huderson, both of Picayune, and Paris Trotter, of Columbia; six aunts: Mildred Huderson, Barbara Lewis, Margaret Spikes, Thelma Bridges, and Diane (Danny) all of Picayune, and Rose Mary (Robert) Ceasar, of Oakland, Calif.; four uncles: Willie (Nora) Huderson, James (Billie Rae) Trotter, Manuel Trotter, and Dennis Trotter, all of Picayune; a God-sister, Elizabeth Williams; a lifelong friend, Demetria McGill, of Picayune; seven grandchildren, seven godchildren, and a host of other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be at Picayune Cemetery. Brown’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
