Mass of Christian Burial for Carmella “Mel” Schlottmann, 81, of Carriere, Miss.,, who passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Covington, La. will be held Monday, January 30, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1000 Goodyear Blvd in Picayune, Miss.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 29, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 401 West Canal Street in Picayune.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Father Michael Snyder will officiate at the service.
A native of Marrero, La., she was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mel was a member of the church choir. Her residence was located in Hide-a-way Lake community. Mel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Luke Henry Collura and Catherine Paternostro Collura; her brothers, Anthony and Angelo Collura; and her sister, Mary Collura.
Beloved wife of 61 years to Arnold Joseph Schlottmann. Beloved mother of Richard Arnold Schlottmann (wife Joan), Glenda Schlottmann Bartley (husband Patrick), Gary Brian Schlottmann, and Troy Eric Schlottmann (wife Rachael). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: April Labat Arnone (husband Robert), Craig Schlottmann (wife Shannon), Timothy Labat, Dawn Schlottmann, Kelly Hotard, Tristan, Kyan, and Braydan Schlottmann.
