The fourth of four juveniles who escaped from Forrest County’s juvenile detention center Oct. 30 is back in sheriff’s office custody.

Sheriff Billy McGee said the fourth juvenile’s mother surrendered the escapee to authorities around midday Saturday.

The four juveniles allegedly assaulted a guard during their escape, and McGee said the guard was released from a local hospital after treatment for relatively minor injuries.

The first three juveniles were picked up by Hattiesburg police on Wednesday.
