Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille, Lafayette, La., for Paul Clifford Vice, 67, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Picayune.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Deacon Cody F. Miller, of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, will officiate the services. Lector will be Emile Mistretta.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Adam and Emedia Decou Vice; one brother, Clemille John Vice; and two sisters, Eula Vice Bell and Rosa Bell.

Survivors include: his beloved wife, Rita Comeaux Vice of Carriere, Miss.; five children: John Darren Vice and his wife, Kisha and Kevin Paul Vice and his wife, Tina all of Youngsville, La., Shannon Paul Vice and his wife, Janine of Lafayette, Roxanne Vice Broussard and her husband, Jules, and Christine Vice Bourque and her husband, Kirk, all of Youngsville; five step-children: Rebecca Williams and her husband, Mark of Jasper, Ga., Paula Frierson of Picayune, Emile Mistretta and his wife, Cathy of Carriere, Cassie Briggs and her husband, Bobby, and Mark Mistretta all of Carriere; his three sisters, Wilma Hall, Willa Mae Bell and Theresa Stone; 14 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eleven step great-grandchildren.

A native of Youngsville, La. and resident of Picayune, Mr. Vice was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Broussard, Devin Vice, Koy Bourque, Kody Bourque, Trey Mistretta and Michael Mistretta.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 7 p.m. in Martin & Castille’s downtown location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
