Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Pilgrim Bounds Baptist Church for Mr. Moses Jones, 81, of Picayune who passed away August 4, 2011 at his residence.
The Rev. Delbert Hall will officiate at the service, assisted by the Rev. George Tillman.
Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of Paulding, Miss., he was retired from Norfork Southern Railroad.
He was a member of the Pilgrim Bounds Baptist Church and a member of the Male Chorus and a member of the Senior Choir.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Mrs. Pearl Young Jones; and parents, Mr. & Mrs. Acey and Eunice Jones.
Survivors include: one son, Mark Jones and daughter-in-law, Stacey Jones, both of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one daughter, Arnetto Walton and son-in-law, Jerry L. Walton both of Carriere; one sister, Connie Candy Williams of Stinger, Miss.; one brother, Will Jones of Michigan; two brothers-in law, Sam Williams of Stinger and James Young Sr. of Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters-in-law, Willene Jones of Michigan and Elsenia Young of Baton Rouge; two special nieces, Brenda and Jackie Spencer; one special nephew, James Young Jr.; three grandchildren, Christian Jones, Charles E. Smith Jr. and Jeffery L. Smith; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
His journey to Ochsner Hospital was carried out by his niece, Mrs. Annie Jean and Mrs. Ethel Burton.
