Memorial Services will be held at a later date for Melvin “Jan” Stout, 71, of Poplarville, Miss., formally of McNeill, Miss., who passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 in Poplarville, Miss.

A native of Bogalusa, La., he was boiler maker and a member of the boiler maker union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mel J. Stout and Bernice Carroll Stout.

Survivors include: his ex wife, Elaine Holliman Stout, and his children: Esma (Bryan “Monk”) Irvine and Melvin “Curt” Stout, all of Bogalusa, La., formerly of McNeill, Miss.; his grandchildren: Stephanie White (Rex) Hartfield, Kristin Haessler (Bradley) Herbert and Brena Elaine Stout; and his great-grandson, Landon Tyler Weiss.
