Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Red Hill Baptist Church in Lumberton for Mrs. Marie D. Stevens, 87, of Poplarville, Miss. Mrs. Stevens passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Pearl River County Hospital in Poplarville.

She was a member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of Poplarville Chapter #100 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Poplarville PTA Grandparents Day Chairperson. She taught Sunday School for many years at Red Hill Church and she was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Theodore and Etha Davis, her husband, Harold “Foots” Stevens, and brother, Braxton Davis.

Survivors include: two sons, Gary Stevens, and wife Kathy, of Poplarville, and Gene Stevens, and wife Leah, of Poplarville; one daughter, Sandra Smith, and husband Mike, of Poplarville; two sisters, Louise Smith, and husband Bro. Fred Smith of Lumberton, and Betty Powell of Bogalusa, La.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
