Funeral services will be held Friday, August 19, 2011 at 12 p.m. in Hillcrest Baptist Church, 438 Anchor Lake Rd., Carriere for Marguerite B. Simmons, 54, of Carriere who passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Lee’s Chapel #1 Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Kevin Neary will officiate at the service.

A native of Chalmette, La./Carriere, Miss., she was a teacher at Pearl River Central School and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Marguerite loved being with children, teaching, driving, and raising children. She volunteered for church functions. She enjoyed having girl’s night out and being pampered.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Simmons.

Survivors include: her parents, William M. Bouchereau and Dolores Henning Bouchereau; her children, Troy Simmons, Danielle Bond, Allen Harris, Mark Harris, Crystal Harris, and Deborah Simmons; eight grandchildren; her brother, William “Willie” Bouchereau Jr.; and her sisters, Linda Dieudonne-Kline and Dawn B. Elrod.
