Elkin Kent, 73, of Picayune passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Picayune.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Picayune Funeral Home from 12 noon until 2 p.m.

Mr. Kent served in the U.S. Navy and had moved to Pearl River County from New Orleans thirty-nine years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brown and Hallie Kent.

He is survived by: his wife, Margaret Kent; four sons, Paul (Helen) Kent of Mandeville, La., Mark Kent of Counts, Tenn., Robert (Marva) Kent of Tupelo, Miss. and Thomas Kent of Picayune; one daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Clayton of Metairie, La.; one brother, McNeil Kent of St. Pete, Fla.; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home and Crematory.
