Authorities say a Biloxi woman whose remains were found in the Back Bay on Sunday morning drowned in what appears to have been an accident.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says an autopsy was performed Sunday on 53-year-old Alberta Graves. Hargrove tells The Sun Herald evidence indicates she had been in the water since Saturday night.

Police were called to the breakwater wall on Old Bay Road at 8:46 a.m. Sunday by a report of a female body found floating.
