Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Purvis for Mrs. Joan Jarvis, 87, of Purvis, formerly of Picayune.

She passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at her residence.

Burial followed in New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune.

Mrs. Jarvis was a Homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church Purvis.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, L.D. Jarvis; and a son, Dewayne Jarvis.

She is survived by: three daughters, Sonya Goza of Byram, Mary Hatten of Purvis, and Stephanie Jarvis of Biloxi; a brother, Jimmy Williams of Picayune; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at First Baptist Church Purvis.

Hulett-Winstead was in charge of the arrangements.
