Some areas along the Natchez Trace Parkway have been closed as officials begin a cleanup from the April 27 storms.

Parkway officials told radio station WLIN-FM that traffic will be rerouted between milepost 204 to 214 for the removal of damage trees.

Northbound traffic will be routed to Mississippi Highway 15 and southbound traffic will be routed to U.S. Highway 82.

The detour is expected to be in place until Aug. 30.
