Police said they stopped Martin in the early morning hours while he was driving a black 2002 Mercury Mountaineer. Police initially stopped him for traffic violations.

Officers spoke to Martin, and it was determined that his license was suspended, and afterward, he was arrested on a traffic violation and his vehicle was searched, police said.

When they searched the vehicle Martin was driving, police found a “large amount” of prescription medication, including Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Xanax, and he was charged with the additional drug charges, said police.

The arrest occurred at Miss. Hwy. 43 North and Interstate 59 and Martin on Wednesday remained in Picayune jail, police said.
