A former employee of the Mississippi Department of Corrections has been indicted on two counts of sexual battery.

A Jackson County grand jury indicated Sanchez Turner.

According to court records, Turner is accused of having sex with the female offender on two separate occasions in June 2009 while she was under house arrest as part of the MDOC’s Intensive Supervision Program.

A May 31 trial date has been tentatively set. Turner is free on a $2,500 bond.
