PLAYGROUND REOPENED — The newly revamped Kid’s Kingdom at Friendship Park officially opened for children’s enjoyment on Saturday. Alan Hickman said the Pennies For Your Park II effort raised a total of $115,000 for the project to renovate the playground. The revamped park now has a number of new features, such as this rock wall at right. Children were asked to “cut” the ribbon at the park by tearing at the paper chains, below.
