NICHOLSON RELAY FOR LIFE
NICHOLSON RELAY FOR LIFE — Nicholson Elementary raised about $670 during its Relay for Life event last Thursday. Teacher Maureen Pollitz said the students raised the money by selling paper footprints and lemonade. Selling lemonade was initiated years ago by Nicholson teacher Emelda Irvin, who died this year from cancer, Pollitz said. Students of Irvin’s class carried on the tradition of lemonade sales in her memory.
