Michael Charles Shean, 66, of Carriere, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune.

A private Catholic service will be held for the family at a later date.

Michael was born in San Francisco, Calif., and his family moved to New Orleans, La. at age 9.  He was a graduate of the University of New Orleans and a retired Geophysicist. After retiring and moving to Picayune in 1991, he was the owner of CRI Computers until 2006.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; Norman Edward Shean and Bernadette Kessing Shean; and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Tosso Gallagher.

He is survived by: his wife of 43 years, Suzanne Tosso Shean of Carriere; a daughter, Michelle Shean Baughman and her husband Troy of Broussard, La.; a brother, Scott Shean and his wife Valerie of Baton Rouge, La.; and three grandchildren, Brennen, Morgan, and Gage. He is also survived by: four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; thirteen nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
