Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. in St. James A.M.E. Church for Lawrence Edward Raymond, 62, of Picayune.

The Rev. Thomas Stubbs will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.

Brother Lawrence Raymond was born November 4, 1948, to the late J.R. and Elenora Raymond in Picayune. He was the 3rd child of twelve children.

Lawrence Raymond departed his life on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Brother Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Timothy (Lisa) Huderson of Picayune; two brothers, Donald Raymond of Gulfport, Miss. and Darryl (Shirley) Raymond of Gulfport; seven sisters, Sharon (Tommy) Vaughn, Pamela White, both of Picayune, Mary Raymond of Gulfport, Evelyn (James) Marable of Washington, D.C., Jan (James) Shelby of Omaha, Neb., Carol Ann (Luther) Coleman of Houston, Texas, and Rebecca (John) Darden of Slidell, La.; two aunts, Mildred Bell Smith of New Orleans, La. and Beverly McGee of Lafayette, La.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and two very special friends.

Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the church.
