Soapbox Races are held annually in numerous cities throughout the United States. Winners of the local races, such as the one held every year in Moss Point, receive a trip for themselves, their parents, and their car to Akron, Ohio to compete in the National All American Soapbox Derby.

Cars are assembled from kits obtained from All American Soapbox Derby Headquarters and there are three classes: Stock (like the Curvy Divas’ car); Super Stock (a larger car for older competitors); and Masters’ (for even older youngsters). Drivers must be between the ages of 8 and 17 to compete.
