GPAC Art Works / Membership Drive

GPAC (Greater Picayune Arts Council) is having an Art Works/Membership Drive, Saturday, March 12, 2011, 9-2 p.m. at the Studio, 108A Church St. off West Canal.

Come join in the Celebration of the ARTS in Picayune. We are selling Fish Dinners from Cuevas Fish House. Tickets will be available at Family Furniture, North 11, and Barze’s on South 11.

There will be demonstrations of local artists. Various activities also for the children — art related. An Ice Cream Contest is planned. Anyone interested can call Donna Aguilard at 601-347-6883 or Harriet Greulich at 601-916-0689 for details. Bring your own ice cream maker and ingredients for your favorite ice cream recipe. Ice cream entries will be judged. Come join us and participate in this fun event.

GPAC was formed with the mission of promoting all Arts in Picayune and surrounding areas. Artistic areas covered are: Literary, Visual Art, Performing, and Crafts.

Come join us on March 12, 9-2 p.m. for the fund and visit our Gallery. The Gallery features local artist work with some for sale.

Join GPAC and help promote the Arts and enjoy our events. Workshops are in the planning stages. We will have our GPAC Summer Art Camp two times this summer. The camps will take place 3 days in June and 3 days in July.

Come have fun with us at the Art Works/Membership Drive and learn about GPAC and its programs.
