A Jackson man has been sentenced to serve 12 years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to manslaughter in a 2008 stabbing death.
Thomas Johnson was sentenced by Hinds County Circuit Judge Winston Kidd to 20 years in prison with eight years suspended and 12 to serve.
Johnson, 50, pleaded in the death of 40-year-old Dewayne “Sweet” Boyd, who police say was attacked on a city street on the night of March 5, 2008.
