The city of Cleveland is looking for ways to collect $5 million in unpaid fines that have accumulated over the years.

Bingham says he’s talked to the Bolivar County Justice Court about their collection program and other areas with similar problems.

Bingham says incarcerating those owing fines would only create more expense at the local jail.

He says he is going to work with the city judge to get warrants issued for the arrest of those with unpaid fines.
