The Crosby Arboretum presents: “Water Birds” with Susan Epps
Patricia Drackett, Interim Director of the Crosby Arboretum, would like to invite the community to come to the “Water Birds” program, Saturday, January 8, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Arboretum.
Susan Epps, birding guide and writer, will be discussing the beautiful and interesting water birds that can be found here in the winter.
Drackett says, “Winter is an exceptional time for birding in Mississippi, due to to the presence of many birds not seen here during the rest of the year.”
The program, appropriate for ages 7 and up, will teach participants to identify common and uncommon birds, such as ducks, snapes, waders and shorebirds.
“Water Birds” admission is free to members; $5 to non-members; $2 to non-members’ children. Registration by January 7th.
