Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011, at Hickory Springs Baptist Church for Mrs. Joyce Smith Burge, 82, of Poplarville, who passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at her residence. Brother Neil Breland and Brother Quintin McCardle will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Smith Cemetery in Poplarville.

She was a member of Hickory Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: one son, Grady Boyd Burge, Jr. and one daughter, Virginia Carol Burge.

Survivors include: her husband of 63 years, Mr. Grady Boyd Burge, Sr.; one daughter, Diann Burge of Richland, Miss.; one son, Ronald Burge; two daughters-in-law, Lynn Burge and Kathy Burge Shoemaker and her husband Curtis; all of Poplarville; four grandchildren: Emily Pokorny and her husband Phil, Randy Burge, Kayla Odom and her husband Zach, and Maegen Delaune and her husband Eric; three great-grandchildren,: Justin Williams, Sonny Burge, and Kaitlyn Williams.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

White Funeral Home in Poplarville is in charge of arrangements.
