The developers of property just west of Interstate 55 in McComb have agreed to pay the state $92,500 for erosion-related violations.

The Enterprise-Journal reports S.L. and Sunny Sethi of Canton have agreed to the payment, according to Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality documents. The Sethis did not admit to any violations.

MDEQ sited the Sethis for failure to maintain erosion controls, inspect the property and plant sufficient vegetation to control runoff.

The Sethis agreed to pay $25,000 before Dec. 30 and $47,500 in four installments across the year 2011.

MDEQ says it will not require payment of the remaining $20,000 if the problems are resolved and erosion controls are maintained.
