The Picayune Item and the Poplarville Democrat will be closed on Friday and Saturday.

County, City of Picayune and City of Poplarville offices will be closed on Friday through Monday, as will all state offices.

The City of Picayune will be closed Friday through Monday and will reopen for business on Tuesday.

County school systems have already shut down for the Christmas holidays.

Walmart will be closed on Christmas Day, the only time of the year the store closes.

The Millard landfill will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

A Coastal Waste company spokesperson said the only change in garbage pickup over the Christmas weekend will be that regular Saturday commercial pickup will be moved back to Friday. All the remainder of the garbage pickups will not be changed.

Picayune Drug Co., 110 Hwy. 11 North, will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day and Sunday, and will reopen to regular hours on Monday.

At CVS Pharmacy in River Ridge at Exit 6, I-59 and Hwy. 43, the pharmacy will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve Friday and Saturday. The front will be open Christmas Day, a spokesperson said.

At Walgreen, both locations, the store will be open Christmas Eve 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Christmas Day 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The pharmacy will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day, a Walgreen spokesperson said.

At Rite Aid, 416 Memorial Blvd., both the store and pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas Eve Friday and closed Christmas Day, a spokesperson said.

A spokesperson for City Rexall, 349 S. Main St., said the store and pharmacy will be open Friday, Christmas Eve, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed on Christmas Day, Saturday.

Holiday closings for the Poplarville and Picayune libraries are Dec. 24 to 27 and Dec. 31 to Jan. 2. A library spokesperson said anyone having questions about library hours should call 601-795-8411 or 601-798-5081.

There will be no mail delivery on Saturday, Christmas Day.

Claiborne Hill will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day. The store will reopen at 7 a.m. on Sunday.

Winn-Dixie, both stores, are open to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day, a store spokesperson said.
