Early Friday, November 26, 2010, God came down from Heaven and called a joyful and dependable soldier home to rest in peace, Alice Mae Holmes, 46. Born November 2, 1964 in Picayune to the late Heletta and Cleve Holmes.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Alice united with Parker Chapel Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the Rev. E. Peters.

Alice was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Akeria D. Holmes; and brothers, Cicero Bo Aultmon and Tommy Aultmon.

She leaves the cherish her loving memories: one son, Eugene and Regina Holmes; two daughters, Latoya and Edward Price and Cassandra Holmes all of Slidell, La.; five sisters, Eretta and Michael Hazlewood of Denver, Colo., Edna Jackson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Willena and Stanley Lee of Picayune, Pearl Kahn of California, and Vivian and James Coe of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Monroe and Nellie Aultmon and Eugene  Aultmon both of Milwaukee, Wis.; and two grandchildren, Elise’ya Price and Edward Price Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. in Parker Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. Tommy Hart will officiate at the service. Interment in Parker Chapel Church Cemetery is under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
