A Jackson teenager has been sentenced to life in prison for his role in the 2008 shooting death of a Ridgeland woman.

Tevin Ward pleaded guilty Monday in Hinds County Circuit Court to a charge of murder in the Oct. 3, 2008, shooting death of Rebecca “Blayne” Bolton-Mack.

Prosecutors say Ward, 18, and another teenager got into Bolton-Mack’s vehicle at a convenience story to commit a robbery.
