A Moss Point High School teacher was injured trying to break up a fight involving three students.
School officials say the fight broke out Monday morning in the halls of the school.
Stephanie Packer, director of communications for the school district, said the teacher was taken to the emergency room for observation.
Packer did not release the teacher’s name.
The students involved who were 18 were placed in the custody of the Moss Point Police Department. Those under 18 were brought to the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center.
Packer said in the release the district is investigating and the students involved could face expulsion.
