Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Alexander City, Ala., for Joanna Sue Weeks, 64, of Carriere, who passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Carriere, Miss.

Local arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Colorado City, Texas, she was a CNA for Adams Nursing Home and a member of the Baptist faith. Joanna was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Compassus for their loving cares.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Herman Eugene Gresham and Evelyn M. Booker Gresham; one daughter, Bernadine Elaine Putnam; and one brother, Donnie Gresham.

Survivors include: her companion, Terry Rester of Carriere; her children: Jerry Davis Jr. of Alexander City, Linda Barrett and husband Steve of Alexander City, and Tony Ray McKinney of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces; and one brother, Roger Gresham of California.
