Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 1 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for Irma Horan Ruiz, 96, of Carriere, who passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 in Carriere.

Burial will be in Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, La., under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Father Michael Snyder will officiate at the service.

A native of New Orleans, La., she was a Homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was previously a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Irma was a member of St. James Major Senior Citizens Club, St. Raphael Senior Citizens Club, People’s Program, New Orleans, La., Mary’s Helpers, New Orleans, and a member of the Senior Center of Picayune.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, John Horan and Rose Faulstich Horan; and her husband, Andrew John Ruiz, Sr.

Survivors include: three sons, Kenneth Jude Ruiz, Andrew J. (A.J.) Ruiz Jr., Roger Stephen Ruiz; one daughter, Diane Migliore, 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
