Tropical Storm Otto 4 p.m. update

TROPICAL WEATHER —  Tropical Storm Otto was at 24.0N, 67.6W and moving northeast at 6 mph Thursday with winds of 60 mph and a steady motion to the northeast and a increase in forward speed was forecast for the next 48 hours. On its forecast track, it should pass south and east of Bermuda Friday afternoon and evening. Some additional strengthening is expected and Otto may become a hurricane by Friday night. A low is producing thunderstorms over the west-central and southwestern Caribbean Thursday afternoon. Development of the disturbance should be slow to occur as it moves south at 10 mph.
