Graveside services will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Cemetery, Chalmette, La., for Ruby Lee McIntyre Elmer, 86, of Carriere who passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 in Kiln, Miss. She will be buried along with her husband of 69 years, Henry Thomas Elmer, 91, who passed away Monday, October 18, 2010.

Burial will be under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Springfield, La, she was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, La and Chalmette until Hurricane Katrina. Ruby was a Homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She will be remembered as always having a smile for her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert McIntyre and Ola McCarroll McIntyre Turnage; her step-father, Robert Turnage; and her husband, Henry Thomas Elmer.

Survivors include: her daughters, Sandra Herman of Carriere and Donna Billingsley of Carriere; five grandchildren, Joey Senat and wife Tracy, Rhonda Laborde and fiancé Richie Doiron, Erin Lee and husband Tommy, Lisa Doll and husband David, and Brynne Billingsley; and seven great-grandchildren, William Senat, Chloe Laborde, Trey Lee, Aubree Lee, Camille Lee, Bella Doll and David Cole Doll.
