Three storms heat up tropics – evening update

TROPICAL WEATHER — Hurricane Igor was at 20.1N, 55.6W at 4 p.m. CDT Wednesday with winds of 135 mph moving  west-northwest at 8 mph. Hurricane Julia was at 19.2N, 33.5W at 4 p.m. Wednesday with winds of 125 mph moving northwest at 17 mph.  Tropical Storm Karl was at 19.0N, 89.4W over the Yucatan Peninsula and was moving west-northwest at 15 mph at 4 p.m. with winds of 45 mph and expected to weaken before moving out into the Gulf of Mexico were it may become a hurricane before going ashore again in Mexico.
