Charlene Marie Ates, 59, of Picayune passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Visitation will be at Picayune Funeral Home on Thursday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Dan Finley officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Charlene was born in New Orleans, La. and moved to Picayune twelve years ago.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by: her husband, Roger Ates of Picayune; one son, James (Kelly) Meyers of Picayune; one daughter, Chantelle (John) Nguyen of Picayune; one brother, Earl Jeansonne of Picayune; two sisters, Elaine Dubret of Alma, La. and Katherine Pace of Wiggins, Miss.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Houston and Rose Jeansonne; one daughter, Michelle Meyers; two sisters, Martha and Sandra; and one brother, Marion.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
