Euthanasia called off for geese in Mississippi

Ross Barnett Reservoir officials will not euthanize 150 Canada geese but will instead round them up and place them in a sanctuary.

John Sigman, executive director of Pearl River Valley Water Supply District, said that the reservoir initially planned to euthanize the geese after complaints of bird droppings dirtying piers, boat launches and parks.

Sigman says a sanctuary site has not been selected yet.
