Ceola James, a former chancery court judge, has announced she’ll run for a seat on the Mississippi Court of Appeals.

James is an attorney and also a former justice court judge. She’ll run against incumbent appeals court judge Tyree Irving.

James served on the chancery court in Greenville from January 1999 to December 2002. She was appointed interim Southern District Justice Court judge in Warren County in 1997, and special master judge in Warren County Chancery Court from 1992 to 1994.
