BRIDGE REPLACEMENT — County road manager Mike Mitchell told supervisors on Monday that drainage work at the Megehee’s Creek (West Boley) bridge on Liberty Road is progressing on schedule and smoothly. The drainage project will see large steel tanks modified as culverts installed to handle flood runoff which closes the road during heavy rains. The work is a major project and will see the road elevated up and over the huge steel culverts. The road has been closed to through-traffic for a week and work is expected to take at least five more weeks, Mitchell SAID.
