Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the United Methodist Church of Pearlington for Ida E. Rayburn, 68, of Pearlington, Miss., who passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 in Hattiesburg.
Burial will be in Bayou Caddy Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Jack Wooten will officiate at the service.
A native of Logtown, Miss., she was a CNA and a member of Cedar Drive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Malon and Dallie Carver Dawsey, Sr.; husband, Whitman Rayburn; brother, Russell J. Dawsey; sister, Vera D. Woods; grandchild, Matthew P. Doyle; and a sister-in-law, Elsie L. Dawsey.
Survivors include: daughters, Carol Sue (Randy) Doyle of Pearlington, Betty J. Gavagnie of Pearlington and Emma I. Pierson of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; son, Raymond A. (Nicole) Rayburn of Pearlington; brothers, Robert Jack Dawsey of Pearlington, Nolan Putt Dawsey of Pearlington, Malon Buddy (Shirley) Dawsey Jr. of Pearlington and Howard (Donna) Dawsey of Pearlington; sister-in-law, Mary L. Dawsey of Pearlington; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at United Methodist Church of Pearlington.
