Felton Marie Whitfield Scarborough

Felton Marie Whitfield Scarborough, 57, of Pompano Beach, Fla. passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Pompano Beach. Mrs. Scarborough was born in Picayune and lived in Slidell before moving to Pompano Beach for the last ten years. She loved the beach, nature, and children. She was an exceptional salesperson. Mrs. Scarborough was a lover of animals, especially her beloved pomeranians, Tina and Teddy — who are unaware they are not human, and now reside with Nichol.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Whitfield and Felton “Buddy” Whitfield.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tonia Marie Troutwine and her husband, Jonathan Oddi, of Miami, Fla., Shelia “Nichol” Scarborough-Hailey, and her husband, Gary Bell, of D’Iberville; siblings: James Whitfield and his wife, Monty, of Picayune; Shelia Ann Crosby, and her husband, Garland of Gulfport, previously of Picayune, Desiree Riviere and her husband, Jimmy, of Bay St. Louis; and two grandchildren, Alexis Marie Hailey and Garrison Tanner Bell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport, where friends held visitation before service. Michael Crosby, a nephew of Mrs. Scarborough, delivered the eulogy.
