A 17-year-old has been charged with murder in a weekend slaying in Greenville.

Police Capt. Andrew Kaho says Cortier Brown of Greenville was being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.

Kaho says Brown has been charged in the shooting death of 41-year-old Eric Harvey. Harvey’s body was found Sunday outside a vacant house. An autopsy showed Harvey died from a gunshot wound in the chest.
